Ironworkers 580 - Apprenticeship Home
The Local 580 Apprenticeship Journeyman Educational Fund (AJEF) is a program that is dedicated to training. With the state of art training facility, we can produce highly skilled ornamental ironworkers to stay ahead of our competition.
Our apprentice program is registered with the New York State Depart of Labor. This is a 4-year program with a total of 838 related classroom hours. The goal is to graduate these apprentices into journeymen ironworkers. The Journeymen Upgrading Program offers over 20 classes to those who want to keep their skills razor sharp.
