When is the next recruitment?
We have a recruitment every 3 years. The next recruitment will be scheduled for 2022. (please check back for dates)
Can I pick up an application for someone who is interested in joining Local 580?
No. Applications MUST be picked up by the INDIVIDUAL wanting to join the program. (must bring picture ID)
When do my certifications expire?
OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 expire every 5 years
4 Hour Supported Scaffold, 16 Hour and 32 Hour Suspended Scaffold, 16 Hour and 32 Hour Rigging certifications expire every 4 years
What classes do I need in order to go to work?
All members need the 4 Hour Supported Scaffold and Site Safety Card in order to get work.
Site Safety Card consists of: OSHA30, 8 Hour Fall Prevention, and 2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness.
Where can I get study materials and a letter for Firewatch and Burning?
You must come in to the office at 501 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036, on the second floor to receive a letter from the Educational Fund.
