News From IMPACT
IMPACT is a labor management partnership
designed to provide a forum for union Ironworkers and signatory
contractors to address mutual concerns and encourage reasonable
balanced solutions. The
IMPACT Regional Advisory Boards extend this
approach, creating a national labor-management network, which
promotes discussion of issues affecting the industry as a whole and
enables the creation of effective strategies for resolving concerns
to create opportunities for the union ironworking industry. The
IMPACT mission is to expand job opportunities
through progressive and innovative labor management cooperative
programs.

The Ironworkers of Local 580 provide New York with Breathtaking Skyline and Architecture that has made the City and Region famous. Our Curtain walls dress the most beautiful buildings in the country. The bronze and Stainless Steel Entrances and Finished lobby's are World Renowned!
When the Industry wants a stunning architectural design built on time with true craftsman quality within a budget, Local 580 answers the call!
From an architectural stair that is the center piece of a hotel lobby to the jail cell door the skilled Ironworkers of Local 580 are trained to get the job done! Training starts with our Apprentices and continues throughout an ironworker's career with the Journeyman Upgrading Programs.
If you are in New York and the surrounding Areas and looking out a window, chances are a Local 580 Crew installed it!
